Looking for music lessons for yourself or your child? I offer friendly, individualized instruction for students of all ages and experience levels, both in person in Atascadero and online.

I’m a professional trombonist, composer, and educator with a Doctor of Musical Arts in Jazz Trombone Performance from the University of Miami. I’ve taught students ranging from elementary-school beginners to college music majors, and I enjoy helping each student find a way into music that feels engaging, creative, and rewarding.

Lessons can focus on traditional fundamentals, preparing for school ensembles and auditions, jazz and improvisation, learning favorite songs, songwriting and composition, or simply becoming a more confident and creative musician.

My teaching experience includes five years on the faculty of the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami, where I taught jazz theory, ear training, jazz piano, and ensembles. I have also taught children and teenagers in community music programs, elementary school music programs, and private lessons.

I’m now based in Atascadero, California, and am available for students throughout San Luis Obispo County as well as online.
